(04/01/14) - Despite meeting late into the night, the Bridgeport-Spaulding school district and the Steelworkers union representing its support staff says it did not reach an agreement Monday night on concessions.
They'll meet again Thursday afternoon, trying to trim 5 percent from the contract.
Teachers are expected to vote on a tentative deal next week.
The district needs to finalize a $2 million deficit elimination plan by April 14 to avoid losing state aid.
