GM car owners await ruling from federal judge

FLINT TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -

(04/04/14) - A federal judge has delayed her ruling on an emergency order that would have parked over 2.5 million GM cars linked to a faulty ignition switch.

The U.S. District Court Judge says she needs more time to review both sides of the debate.

A Texas lawyer filed the motion, citing a specific case involving a 2005 Cobalt that has stalled several times while driving down the road.

A ruling on the requested "stop drive order" is now expected in the coming days as drivers of those recalled vehicles continue to await repairs.

Some GM car owners are anxiously awaiting the final ruling.

If they have to park their cars, they'll have to come up with Plan "B" on how to get around.
