FENTON (WJRT) -

(04/09/14) - The future does not look good for a Fenton seminary that was built just after the Civil War.

The Genesee County Treasurer's office has foreclosed on the property because nearly $30,000 is owed in back taxes.

Owner Penny Crane has said she has no plan to pay the amount owed.

County Treasurer Deb Cherry says the seminary could be sold at auction. If not, Fenton officials could have it demolished.
