(04/09/14) - The president of the Steelworkers union for Bridgeport-Spaulding Schools says the union has voted on a tentative agreement with the district.
The Steelworkers union represents support staff, including bus drivers and secretaries.
The group, Tuesday night, approved five percent across the board concessions.
Teachers and principals still have to vote on a deal.
The district needs to finalize a $2 million deficit elimination plan by April 14 to avoid losing state aid.
