(04/12/14) - A man and woman are behind bars in Huron County, accused of trafficking heroin.

After months of investigation, deputies on surveillance confronted the two suspects Wednesday.

It happened in the parking lot of Elkton's McKinley Street Apartments.

That's on the north end of the village.

Deputies found nearly five grams of heroin broken down into tenths of a gram, which each go for up to $100 on the street.

Twenty-nine-year-old Angela Palmer and 22-year-old Brad Labombard were arrested Wednesday and Thursday. Each were arraigned on a felony possession charge with intent to deliver.

Two young children with them at the time are now in the care of relatives, and DHS is also investigating.

Their vehicle was seized and officers also took scales, syringes and other drug items from their apartment and a second residence.
