(04/17/14) - A little girl was shot and injured during an attempted robbery, according to police.
The 19 month old was taken to Hurley Medical Center, originally listed in critical condition, but is expected to be OK.
Police believe the shooting happened near Garland Street and 11th Avenue in Flint, around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The little girl was with her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Police say someone tried to rob them, and the child was shot when they took off in their vehicle, trying to get away.
The toddler was in a car seat. Police say it appears her injuries went unnoticed for about an hour. She was shot at least once in the leg.
No arrests have been made. No one has been arrested and police continue to investigate.
