Supporters rally for marriage equality at Genesee County Courthouse
GENESEE COUNTY (WJRT) -
(04/22/14) - Drivers who support same sex marriage honked for equality, as protestors rallies outside of the Genesee County Courthouse.
The state and more than 300 gay and lesbian couples are waiting to find out if an appeals court will uphold a judge's decision to throw out Michigan's ban on gay marriage.
"Our message today is we will be here until marriage equality is passed. It is a moral and just issue. We are in full support of this. We stand on the side of love," said Minister Deane Oliva, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flint.
Protestors say they will rally outside the Genesee County every fourth Tuesday, of every month, until marriage equality is passed.
