FENTON TOWNSHIP (WJRT) - (05/03/14) - Despite the rain and cold Saturday afternoon, young soccer players hit the field for SoccerFest14.

The game was not only fun, but a chance for the players to go down in history.

"It's a national thing that AYSO put together to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. So we are having the largest pick up game on earth. So out here, we decided to go big," said Kelli Godek, of the Tri-County Soccer League.

Organizers say that at least 400 soccer players took part in the event.

They say it is not just about the glory - the event is an excuse to get kids active and exercising.
