Mid-Michigan communities vote on millages, bond proposals

MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) - (05/07/14) - The results are in from the May 2014 election.

A number of communities went to the polls Tuesday to decide on several millages and bond proposals.

A bond proposal for Fenton Schools was passed by 62 percent.

Sinking fund proposals for Grand Blanc and Mt. Morris Schools also passed.

Voters in the Chesaning School District passed two proposals. The first will help remodel all three school buildings and update athletic fields. The second will help pay for a new auxiliary gym.

In Gladwin County, voters turned down an operating millage proposal.

A 911 surcharge was passed in Gratiot County.
