SANILAC COUNTY (WJRT) - (05/06/14) - A 12-year-old boy, who plead guilty in the accidental shooting death of his 11-year-old friend, will spend the next several years on - what the judge describes as - intense probation.

Eleven-year-old Tyler Dunn was shot and killed at a sleep over in November at a home in Sanilac County.

A judge sentenced the 12-year-old to serve 30 days in a secure facility, and then live with his mother, with 29 probation restrictions.

Among them, he can't be around firearms or have contact with the victim's family.

The prosecutor says he is satisfied with the probation restrictions, which the boy will have to follow until he is 18.

The boy's father also pleaded guilty for his role in the shooting death. The boys were left alone in the man's home last November. The man pleaded guilty to charges of possessing a gun as a felon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
