SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) -
(05/09/14) - A 25-year-old Owosso man believed to be responsible for eight break-ins in Saginaw County is behind bars.
Sheriff William Federspiel says the man was arrested around 1:30 Friday morning in Cheasaning Township.
Deputies found tools used to break into businesses and money, among other things, in his car.
Five of the robberies happened Friday morning in the village of Cheasening.
The sheriff says the man arrested was on parole.
"We are going to put a case together on him that will be a 20 year felony for a continuing criminal enterprise. And he would be looking at quite a lengthy prison statement the next time he goes back," Federspiel said.
They do not believe this man is connected to the string of pharamacy break-ins in Saginaw County. Police are still looking for four people suspected in that case.
