SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) -
(05/09/14) - The state's agriculture department says it's fining the Saginaw County Animal Care Center about $10,000 for violations.
The state released an investigative report, Friday, saying there were numerous occasions were proper procedures were not followed when it came to handling dogs and cats, like adoptions and euthanization.
The investigation began in February.
The status of animal control director Kevin Wilken is still uncertain. He was placed on paid administrative leave since the investigation began.
