FLINT (WJRT) - (05/10/14) - Volunteers hit the streets of Flint, Saturday, looking for graffiti. Wherever they found it, they painted over it.

The efforts were all in part of the Main Street Matters program by Benjamin Moore. The paint company launched the program in 2013. It is a commitment to revitalize Main Streets across North America.

Flint was one of 20 cities selected through an online voting system to receive the make over.

Volunteers told ABC12 that Saturday was the perfect day for the event.

"We had a great day today for painting, great day for volunteering, the sun was shining, we had cool temperatures nice and breezy which made working nice. We had a big turn out of volunteers and we're going to do it every Saturday, once a month, service Saturdays," said Jack Stock, director of external relations at Kettering University.
