FLINT (WJRT) -
(05/14/14) - A growing eyesore is raising eyebrows in one Flint community.

A pile of debris and concrete has moved into their neighborhood and they want it gone.

The materials are being dumped in a vacant lot on the corner of Pingree and Blades in Flint.

So what's it doing there? The trail leads back to Consumers Energy and a project they are working on in the neighborhood.

"We are replacing a gas main, we are putting in new gas services and we are replacing gas meters all in this neighborhood," said Kevin Keane, area manager for Consumers Energy.

Consumers Energy is stockpiling all the materials from the project at that spot.

Keane goes on the say that the area will be cleaned up once the project is over.

"Those are the spoils from this construction project, they will be removed in a couple of weeks," Keane said.
