Consumer Alert: Tainted beef investigation in Michigan

Posted: Updated:
MICHIGAN (WJRT) - (05/15/14) - The Michigan Department of Community Health and five county health departments are now investigating tainted beef in Michigan.

Three people have been hospitalized with e-coli.

The counties with active investigations include Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw, Kent and Ottawa.

It's believed the ground beef was under-cooked at restaurants in the those counties.

If you've been sick after eating ground beef between April 22 and May 1, you are being advised to get tested for e-coli.
