FLINT (WJRT) - (05/17/14) - Hundreds of people concerned about cardio vascular health and strokes walked through downtown Flint, Saturday morning.

It was all part of the American Heart Association's Heart Walk.

Stacey Sawyer, with the American Heart Association, told ABC12 a little more about the organization.

"We are actually the number one founder of cardiovascular research. All the dollars that are raised goes to education, obviously our research dollars, advocacy efforts, and everything that we can do to reduce the number of people affected by cardiovascular diseases," she said.

The organization says 1.2 million Americans will suffer a coronary attack and 700,000 more will have a stroke.
