Flint City Council to discuss selling off section of water pipeline

Posted: Updated:
FLINT (WJRT) - (05/19/14) - Flint City Council will discuss an offer, Monday, that could have the city selling off a section of its water pipeline.

Genesee County is offering Flint almost $4 million for a nine mile stretch of pipeline the county could use to get water from Lake Huron.

Emergency manager Darnell Earley wants the money to help offset infrastructure improvements in the Flint water system, but some on council would like the money to be used to stop police and fire cuts.
