GENESEE COUNTY (WJRT) -
(05/20/14) - The Davison area man who recently celebrated his efforts to acquire 45 acres of property for township park space, has lost his battle with cancer.

Bob Callis was 80 years old.

The land he acquired will become an extension of the Davison Community Park.

It was his mission to make the dream come true for residents and he helped make it happen by holding events over the years.

Callis raised more $70,000 for the project.

The new site will be known as the "Lake Callis Recreational Area," complete with a man-made lake.
