FLINT (WJRT) - (05/21/14) - The Fraternal Order of Police in Flint hosted its annual All Star basketball game against the Detroit Lions Wednesday night at Flint Southwestern Academy.

It is the nineteenth year the FOP and the Lions tipped off to raise money for the organization. The money goes toward facilities for the FOP and to fulfill help requests during the year. Organizers and participants told ABC12 that the event is even more so about the kids who get involved.

"It ain't about how much we raise, we just want to make sure everyone comes out and has a great time," said Paul Clolinger, president of FOP.

"We're trying to be good role models also for the youngsters and show them that we can have fun without doing silly things like drinking and smoking and the other bad behaviors out there. So we are trying to show a positive influence," said
Corey Schlesinger, former Detroit Lion.
