FLINT (WJRT) -

(06/22/14) - An early morning crash sent a man and woman to a local hospital.

The crash happened at 4:02 a.m. Sunday. Police say a 2002 Ford was heading west on Pierson Road near Baldwin at a high speed. The truck then went off the road and hit a curb before striking a fence and utility pole.

The driver, Eric Boaz, 28 of Flint, had to be removed from the car with the jaws of life. He is in serious condition at Hurley Medical Center.

The passenger, Aarontonette McLilly, 27 of Flint, is in good condition at Hurley Medical Center.

Police believe that both McLilly and Boaz were not wearing their seatbelts. Police say alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash. The crash, however, is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Sgt. Jason Groulx and 810-237-6811.
