Police investigating deadly shooting in Flint

Posted: Updated:
FLINT (WJRT) - (06/30/14) - One man is dead following a weekend shooting on Flint's north side.

It happened around 10 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of East Baltimore in Flint.

Police say the shooting happened at an abandoned home. Neighbors say they've seen young people gathering at the home before, but this is the first shooting on that lot.

When police got to the home, the young man, who was in his late teens, was already dead.

A neighbor next door to the abandoned house was home during the shooting.

Sabrenda Ivory said she heard the shots, then saw a group of people scatter. She also told us this isn't the first shooting on her block.

I got grandkids, they came when I have had my grand kids around here, but they can't play because they are shooting and doing whatever they want around here. It's not no fun," she said.

Police tell us they do have a person of interest in custody, but are still looking for several other people who might be involved.

Call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up if you have any information.
