Posted: Updated:
FLINT (WJRT) - (07/02/14) - Flint Police are investigating a hit and run.

It happened just before 2 p.m. in the 4700 block of Canterbury Lane, on the city's north side.

Police say the driver, who hit two people, only meant to hit one person.

A detective on the scene says the driver was going after a woman. The other person was not the intended target.

The woman is in critical condition. The second person suffered minor injuries, but is expected to be OK.

The driver did not get far - the car lost control, flipped over and came to a rest on someone's front lawn.

A woman, who says she is the driver's sister, says her sister is also in the hospital.

Detectives are recreating the path of the accident, trying to figure out exactly what happened.
