Elevated levels of E. coli found in Kelly Lake

Posted: Updated:
BURTON (WJRT) -  (07/10/14) - Warmer temperatures this weekend may make you want to take a dip in the lake, but Kelly Lake in Burton is not the place for that right now.

The Genesee County Health Department says you should avoid all body contact with the lake due to elevated levels of E. coli.

The bacteria could cause stomach problems, dehydration and fever.
