Vigil held for murder suspect killed in Flint shootout with police

Posted: Updated:
FLINT (WJRT) - (07/11/14) - A vigil was held Friday night for the man who died in a police standoff this week in Flint.

Doran Gaylor Jr. was wanted for two murders when police cornered him inside a house on Sherman Avenue near Fulton. After a shoot out and the demolition of the house, his body was found in the attic.

Friday, his mother told ABC12 that police are not allowing her to see his body until the funeral home arrangements have been made.

"I feel that, and any parent feels that, if their son was involved in anything that has to do with crime or any kind of accident and their children got killed, that they'd want to ID their child. I still don't know today if that is my child," said Denise Rankin.
