Saginaw father accused of murdering son gives up parental rights of other children

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW (WJRT) - (07/22/14) - A Saginaw father, accused of murdering his young son, has given up his parental rights over his three other children.

Thirty-nine-year-old Aki Dillard is facing charges in the February beating and murder of 6-year-old Elijah Dillard.

He and his wife, Mio Campbell, who is also charged with child abuse in the case, were set to go to trial to determine if their parental rights would be terminated. However, Dillard decided he would instead relinquish his rights.

Mlive says Campbell did not, and will be in court this week, fighting to keep custody of her 7 month old, and 2 and 7 year-old girls.
