Public health alert issued after listeria is found in salad at Sam's Club

UNDATED (WJRT) - (08/60/14) - Michigan has issued a public health alert after listeria was found in a sample of chicken Caesar salad sold in suburban Detroit.

State Health officials say the problem was discovered during routine testing at a Sam's Club store in Novi.

Listeria symptoms can include fever, headache and gastrointestinal problems.

No illnesses have been reported so far.

The salad is in an 11 ounce container labeled "Chicken Caesar Salad" with the name "Daily Chef" on the label and a sell by date of July 31.
