FLINT (WJRT) -
(08/20/14) - The HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races has teamed up with Hurley Medical Center to provide medical assistance throughout the day Saturday.
Medical personnel will be stationed all across the race routes, ready for anything, but they say getting yourself prepared now will help you and them have a much easier race day.
"Staying stretched and stay limber and drink a lot of water, have water available. At spots throughout the race they have water tables setup, so make sure you grab a glass as you're running by," said Alex Boros, of Swartz Ambulance.
"One of the important things, especially if the weather is bad and humidity is high is staying hydrated. It's very easy to get dehydrated, especially if your preparation for the race hasn't been adequate," said John Stewart, of Hurley Medical Center.
