SAGINAW (WJRT) - (09/03/14) - The Saginaw Railway Museum has a new piece of history.

A 1953 General Electric diesel locomotive was brought in on a flatbed truck on Wednesday. It comes from a limestone quarry in Bayport.

They hope to roll in down the tracks, to the museum, sometime on Thursday.

"The stuff we have in the museum right now has been there about 10 years, 12 years. This is a new addition. Plus, I can switch cars, trains, whatever," said Harry Vitek, of the Saginaw Railway Museum.

If you'd like to check out the locomotive, the museum has open houses the first and third Saturdays of the month from May through October.
