Sunday Serenades Community Concert Series

The concept of the Sunday Serenades is a combination of improvisational musical workshop and community concert. The first half of the program is designed for area musical students to join area Jazz Musicians as they share interests and talents in jazz improvisation and learning the fundamentals of the jazz language. The workshop will emphasize the study of chords, scales, rhythms, as well as ear training and the development of coherent musical phrases and ideas. The second half of the workshop is a community concert. The workshop is free to are music students who wish to develop musical improve skills. Workshop is from 3:00-3:30 PM with the free will donation concert beginning at 3:30 PM.
Both the Workshop and Concert are open to Community members watch and enjoy.

Meet The Saginaw Elite Big Band
The Saginaw Elite Big Band is a new band, but the professional musicians that make up the band are experienced veterans of local concert, variety and swing/ballroom dance bands that have performed in and around the Great Lakes Bay Region over the last 25 years. The band was formed with the intent to provide only the best arrangements of music – performed by the best musicians in the area

January "Starting a Business" Trainings

FLINT, MI​ - "Starting a Business" will be presented at the Oak Business Center in Flint via classroom presentation on ​ Wednesday, January 18 from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. This workshop will also be presented via webinar on Thursday, January 26 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

"Starting a Business" is designed for individuals who are considering self-employment, or who may be at the beginning stages of starting a business. This introductory training covers the process of starting and operating, evaluating market potential for products/services, costs and financing options, plus business planning. Every registered classroom attendee will receive a copy of the 60+ page book, “Guide to Starting and Operating a Small Business.”

There is no fee for the “Starting a Business” seminar but advance and separate registration for each individual is required.

Latin Salsa Dance and Lesson with Angela Markle
