Mount Pleasant man stabbed at Wenona Park in Bay City; suspect arrested

BAY CITY, Mich. (WJRT) - A Bay City man is in jail, accused of stabbing another man at Wenona Park on Wednesday.

Police say the stabbing happened during a fight around 5:30 p.m. at Wenona Park. A 22-year-old Mount Pleasant man was rushed to McLaren Bay Region hospital for emergency treatment of stab wounds to the neck.

The victim was listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery Wednesday evening.

The Bay City Department of Public Safety says a 32-year-old man accused of stabbing the other man remained on the scene until officers arrived. He was arrested and taken to the Bay County Jail while awaiting arraignment on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
