Teen critical, 23-year-old recovering after double shooting at Dollar General in Flint
FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) - Police say a suspect is in custody after a double shooting outside a Dollar General store in Flint left a teen in critical condition Wednesday afternoon.
The shootings were reported around 1:55 p.m. outside the Dollar General at the intersection of Martin Luther King Avenue and West Dayton Street, according to the Flint Police Department.
A 17-year-old boy was rushed to Hurley Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He remained in critical condition Thursday morning.
A 23-year-old man was listed in good condition at the hospital after receiving a gunshot wound to his forearm.
Flint police say one person was arrested in connection with the shootings, but they were not identified. Investigators also did not release any information about the circumstances leading up to the shootings on Thursday morning.
