Rachael Eyler joined the ABC 12 news team in September 2021 as an MMJ. You can find her reporting during the week on ABC 12 news at 11pm.
Originally from New York’s Lower Mid-Hudson Valley, Rachael graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in December of 2019 with a degree in journalism and minor in political science. Following her graduation, Rachael moved across the pond to work with the Wall Street Journal in their London Bureau where she covered the start of Coronavirus pandemic across Europe.
While she is excited to explore all Mid-Michigan has to offer, Rachael is no stranger to the Midwest. Prior to joining the ABC 12 news team she started her broadcast career in the Northwoods of Wisconsin as an anchor and reporter for WJFW Newswatch 12. She has also worked with MSNBC, CBS, the BBC and Metro TV in Ghana, West Africa.
Rachael is a two time recipient of the Marie Colvin International Reporting award and selected as Wall Street Journal’s 2020 Marie Colvin Fellow. In 2019 she was also awarded an IRE Medal and the Online News Association Award for her investigation into Deepfake revenge pornography.
