Kevin Goff is ABC12's weekend meteorologist. And we mean the "entire" weekend: ABC12 News Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., plus 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
He also reports one day a week and fills in for the rest of the ABC12 First Alert Weather Team. A Livonia native, Kevin joined the ABC12 news team in March 2000.
Prior to his return home, he held meteorologist positions in Lubbock and Longview, Texas, Lansing, Lincoln, Neb., Macon, Ga., and Waterloo, Iowa. With most of Kevin's family still in the Detroit area, he likes only having to travel an hour to visit them.
Kevin earned his bachelor of science degree in meteorology from Texas A&M University. Prior to that, he obtained another bachelor of science degree in bio-medical science from Western Michigan University.
A member of the American Meteorological Society, Kevin also holds the AMS Seal of Approval for television weathercasting.
"I enjoy Mid-Michigan's ever-changing and challenging weather, especially winter storms," he said.
When not at work, Kevin likes to stay busy playing a variety of sports including tennis, table tennis, volleyball, softball and weightlifting. He also likes to cook and bake.
