She was born and raised in the Windy City. Winnie fell in love with the news industry at 11 years old. She spent her mornings watching the WGN News Morning Show in Chicago. She knew she was destined to be a reporter.
Winnie graduated from Hampton University with bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism. She continued her studies at DePaul University, where she received a master's in mass communications. In 2014, she interned at WGN News in Chicago.
She landed her first job in Missoula, Montana, at KECI-TV as a morning reporter. Winnie learned how to write, edit and shoot all her video. She moved to Omaha, Nebraska, to work for FOX 42.
She enjoys telling stories and connecting with people in community. While in Omaha, she stuck her teeth into crime stories and feature pieces. Winnie’s ultimate goal is to be an anchor.
When she isn’t reporting, you can find her watching "Law & Order Special Victim’s Unit." She is a horror movie fanatic. You can’t go wrong with bringing her tacos -- her favorite food. By the way, she’s a Cubs fan!
