Dimes for Diapers: Fiedler Elementary

By  |

FLINT (WJRT) - (04/19/19) - Some very giving students are busy counting dimes, pennies, quarters, and dollars, while working to change babies in our community.

They were really put to the test with one classroom dropping off more than $135 in coins!

The young philanthropists doing all the counting are from Fiedler Elementary in the Kearsley school district and it's all in support of the Dimes for Diapers competition.

Fiedler Elementary is among about 40 schools in our area participating in this year's school-based effort to raise money for the Flint Diaper Bank.

The real winners are the babies and families in desperate need in our community.

We want to thank Fiedler and and every school that joined us in an effort to make a difference at this year's ABC12 Diaper Drive hosted by ELGA Credit Union in Burton on May 31, 2019.
