GENESEE TWP. (WJRT) - (05/06/19) - The final count is underway for local schools participating in Dimes for Diapers. As we continue to highlight schools that are getting creative to raise money for the effort, we want to send a special shout out to Kearsley elementary schools.
One Kindergartner in particular went above and beyond to collect donations for babies.
Owen Dickenson from Mrs. Mann's class at Weston Elementary raised $300 on his own!
He helped his class win the pizza party for collecting the most money in the school and really helped drive up the total for Weston Elementary's total fundraising.
We are so grateful to the entire Kearsley community and all the students, teachers, and parents who are dedicated to supporting the Flint Diaper Bank.
Friday, May 3 was the last day for the collection competition.
This year's Dimes for Diapers champions will be revealed at the ABC12 Diaper Drive on May 31 at the EGLA Credit Union in Burton.
