MID MICHIGAN (WJRT) (12/30/17) - Expect a relatively quiet weekend ahead for Mid Michigan, with one exception.
Huron and Sanilac Counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from Noon Saturday until 5:00 a.m. Sunday. Low pressure anchored in Ontario will bring lake effect snow to the thumb area; accumulations are expected to range from 2-5".
The rest of Mid Michigan will see mostly cloudy skies with a chance of a snow shower or two Saturday. Highs will only get into the low to mid teens.
Another shot of polar air will push in overnight bringing overnight lows below zero with wind chills ranging from 10-15 below zero.
The extended period into 2018 looks to be rather quiet, but cold! Highs will top out in the teens with overnight lows in the single digits. A chance of snow arrives Wednesday.
