1 dead, 2 seriously injured after crash in Mt. Morris Township

MT. MORRIS TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (1/3/2019) - Police are investigating a crash that left one woman dead and two others injured in Mt. Morris Township.

A car driving westbound on Stanley Road crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car traveling eastbound around 11 a.m., according to Mt. Morris Township Police Chief Terence Green.

The woman driving the westbound car was pronounced dead on the scene. Two females in the eastbound car were rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Police were not immediately sure what caused the woman in the westbound car to drive across the center line.

Stanley Road was closed between Clio and Neff roads while police investigated and cleared the scene.
