MT. MORRIS TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (9/19/2018) - A 19-year-old was arrested after allegedly supplying a marijuana brownie to a Hamady High School student, which later caused her to faint.

The 14-year-old girl fainted at school Wednesday afternoon and was taken to Hurley Medical Center. She told staff there about eating a marijuana brownie and believed that caused her to faint.

Information about the incident was reported to the Mt. Morris Township Police Department, which immediately began investigating how the girl got the brownie, said Police Chief Terence Green.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man in the Hamady High School parking lot around 2:45 p.m. Officers also seized a suspected marijuana brownie from the man at the school.

Mt. Morris Township police were still investigating the incident on Wednesday evening.

Green urged parents to find out if their children have any brownies from school, because eating a marijuana brownie can cause serious health complications for some people.
