2 men arrested, third sought for shooting death at Marathon gas station

FLINT (WJRT) (12/4/2017) - Police arrested two men and have an active arrest warrant for a third in connection with the Nov. 28 shooting death at the Marathon gas station on West Court Street in Flint.

Court records show 23-year-old Kendrell Kendrick and 22-year-old Malik Johnson were arrested and arraigned over the weekend on first-degree murder and felony firearms charges.

Both remained in custody Monday at the Genesee County Jail on $10,000 bond.

The Flint Police Department obtained an arrest warrant last week for a third person allegedly involved in the shooting. That person's identity wasn't released on Monday.

The Flint Police Department responded to the Marathon station at 2726 W. Court St. near Beecher Road around 1:25 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired and a man lying in the parking lot.

Police found the man alert and talking with a gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead hours later.
