SHIAWASSEE COUNTY (WJRT) (4/15/2019) - The theft of a dirt bike led authorities to three people accused of stealing several items around Shiawassee County.

A resident on West Juddville Road in Rush Township reported a Honda CR250 dirt bike stolen on Feb. 7. He told investigators someone broke into a storage building on his property and took the dirt bike.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office later found the allegedly stolen dirt bike and collaborated with Shiawassee County investigators.

Police arrested 18-year-old Patrik Hebeler of Ovid, 33-year-old Daniel Brayshaw of Owosso and a 15-year-old boy who was not identified because he is a juvenile.

All three are charged with two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of conspiracy to commit breaking and entering. Hebeler and Brayshaw remained in the Shiawassee County Jail on Monday after arraignment.

In addition to the dirt bike, police believe the trio also stole other dirt bikes, snowmobiles, clothes, batteries and power tools from the storage building on Juddville Road.
