FLINT (WJRT) - (2/1/2018) - Flint Mayor Karen Weaver's office is hosting a town hall meeting Thursday to update the public on the water crisis.
Experts will be on hand to what's being done to improve water quality. It will include city leaders, and the engineering and construction company contracted to manage several water improvement projects.
Updates will be provided on the FAST Start initiative, which aims to replace 20,000 lead water service lines feeding homes and residences throughout the city. Information will include when work will resume this year and what areas of the city will be completed.
Information about other major improvements to Flint's water infrastructure also will be provided.
The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mott Community College Event Center at 1401 E. Court St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
