Midland shelter searching for dog's owner after potential poisoning

MIDLAND COUNTY (WJRT) - (06-14-18) - The Humane Society of Midland County is trying to find the owner of a dog who died in a possible poisoning case.

In a Facebook post, the shelter says the Brittany was found Tuesday in Midland on Waldo Avenue, near Monroe Road.

The dog nicknamed 'Jeri' was taken to M-20 Animal Hospital.

The shelter says she was in multiple organ failure. The Facebook post says, " She was suffering and in pain therefore the veterinarian recommended we allow her to cross the rainbow bridge."

Anyone who recognizes the dog is asked to contact Midland County Animal Control at (989) 832-6856.
