LANSING (WJRT) - (5/15/19) - More than one thousand adults and advocates from across Michigan will join together at the State Capitol building in Lansing Wednesday morning to focus on elderly adult issues.
Older Michiganians Day 2019 is an annual rally that includes keynote speakers and meetings with state lawmakers.
The rally will include topics such as rebalancing Medicaid and spending to help keep the elder adults in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.
The agenda includes a request to increase funding for Aging and Adult Services Agency In-Home Services, as well as Home-Delivered Meals.
There will also be a presentation from Michigan's Dementia Coalition.
The rally begins at 10:30 a.m.
