LAPEER COUNTY (WJRT) (4/24/2019) - Parents' intuition led police to an alleged sexual assault involving a 54-year-old man and a young child.
Deputies say it happened Sunday when Frank Green was babysitting a child.
They say the child's parents tried calling, but got concerned when they couldn't reach the child. They asked someone else to visit their house and check on the child.
That person believed sexual abuse was taking place when they arrived and immediately called police. The Lapeer County Sheriff's Office responded to the residence just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police arrested Green on Monday. He was arraigned on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.
Green remained in jail after arraignment on $25,000 bond.
Investigators are exploring whether Green has sexually assaulted anyone else. Police say he has moved around a lot between several states besides Michigan.
