Birth control pills recalled due to wrong packaging

(11/08/18) - A health related recall. Pharmaceutical company Janssen has issued a voluntary nationwide recall for 2 of its birth control pills.

The company says the packaging error could cause unintended pregnancy. The wrong instructions were put inside the pill packs - for Ortho Novum 1-3 - and Ortho Novum 7-7-7.

The FDA says you shouldn't stop taking the pill - as the product itself is safe and effective - but women should reference the correct instructions online and speak to their doctor.
