CLIO (WJRT) (1/11/2018) - Residents on the northeast side of Clio and Clio High School no longer are under a boil water advisory.
The city issued the precautionary advisory Tuesday afternoon after a water main break caused a drop in water pressure, which could have allowed harmful bacteria to enter the system.
The Clio Department of Public Works repaired the leak and restored water pressure Tuesday afternoon with the help of a private contractor. After that, the affected line had to be flushed and sanitized.
Two consecutive water samples taken 24 hours apart tested clean, allowing the advisory to be lifted.
