BIG RAPIDS (WJRT) - (12/04/18) - A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Big Rapids in Mecosta County. Ferris State University has warned students living off campus to be aware of the area affected.

Emergency Management says it's due to a loss of pressure in the water supply.

Affected areas include: North of Woodward and Chestnut Avenues, as well as North and East of Cypress.

Make sure to use bottled or boiled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, doing dishes, and food prep. The advisory is in affect until further notice.
