MOUNT PLEASANT (WJRT) (8/8/2019) - Ronan Hall on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant was evacuated after a bomb threat, which authorities determined was not credible.
The university posted on Facebook around 12:25 p.m. that the CMU Police Department received information about the threat. The call came to an office in Ronan Hall and the person who received it immediately called police.
Authorities evacuated Ronan Hall and the surrounding area while the investigation continued.
CMU police who investigated the threat determined the phone number used to call it in is from an out-of-state hospital and the threat was not credible.
Nothing suspicious was found in the building, so it reopened to normal activities at 1 p.m. Ronan Hall houses mostly office space and no classrooms.
