Breakfast is back at Halo Burger thanks to downtown business surge

FLINT (WJRT) - (03/18/18) - Halo Burger is now serving breakfast for the first time in nearly a decade.

Megan Ahejew, community relations manager, stopped by the studio to give us the rundown on the change and how you can try the food for free.

Breakfast items are only being sold at the Saginaw Street restaurant in Flint. They do have plans to expand to other locations throughout the year. Ahejew says the change comes as foot traffic downtown continues to increase.

“We’ve been seeing a lot of exciting things going on here in Flint. There have been a number of new businesses that have opened up over the past year that in turn have created more jobs downtown and brought people back to the city," said Director of Operations Adam Safford. "On top of that, events such as Back to the Bricks have been drawing new visitors into town. There are limited breakfast options downtown and our customers have continued to ask for us to bring our breakfast menu back. We’re really excited to finally be doing just that.”

March 21 -March 27, the first 50 guests will receive a free breakfast item when they purchase any Halo Burger product.

The Saginaw Street location opens at 7 a.m. on the weekdays, 8 a.m. on Saturday and 9 in the morning on Sunday.
